Coach Ortiz and Coach Pressley
Coach Juan Ortiz; is the Offensive Coordinator for this team. Coach Ortiz, a dedicated high school teacher, stands out as an exceptional individual who seamlessly blends his passion for education with his love for football. Serving as both a teacher and the offensive coordinator for the school's football team, he exemplifies the perfect balance between academic excellence and athletic prowess. As the school's football coach and offensive coordinator, Coach Ortiz brings the same level of dedication and expertise to the field. His leadership extends far beyond the game itself, instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance in his players. He not only imparts strategic football knowledge but also serves as a mentor, guiding his athletes in their personal and academic growth
Coach Joel Pressley is a dedicated and passionate individual who plays a pivotal role in this program through shaping the success and growth of this team. With a deep understanding of the game, he possess the knowledge and expertise to teach players the fundamentals, strategies, and tactics of football. Coach Joel serves as a mentor, motivator, and leader, instilling values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance in our players. He possess excellent communication skills, enabling him to effectively convey instructions, provide constructive feedback, and inspire the team to achieve their full potential.
Coach Ortiz and Coach Pressley have also had the pleasure of coaching a group of young men in a flag football league for about 10 years. In 2023, we made the transition into tackle football for incoming freshmen, known as the Aztec Warriors Youth Tackle. We created this program to help our community and those around it to join a team that will help academically and in their personal lives. This nonprofit team will help make football accessible to a wider range of individuals, including those who may not have the financial means to participate in traditional programs. By removing financial barriers and offering scholarships or reduced fees, you can ensure that talented athletes aren't excluded based on their economic background.
